100 New US Tank Transporters Quickly Move Heaviest M1 Tanks & Other Vehicles in Europe

U.S. Army deployed about a hundred "M1300/M1302 Enhanced Heavy Equipment Transporter Systems (EHETS)" for a convoy of M1 Abrams tanks, in the U.S. Army Prepositioned Stock-2 site in Zutendaal, Belgium.

The M1300/M1302 EHETS deploys transports and recovers the heaviest M1A2 Abrams tanks and other vehicles of similar weight to and from throughout Europe.

The M1300/M1302 EHETS was developed to accommodate the vehicles up to 90 short ton (81.6 t) and meet European highway requirements.

The M1300 tractor is a modified M1070A1 HET tractor. The M1300 tractor consists of weight reduction and powertrain upgrade modifications.
The M1302 trailer is a new production 8 axle, flatbed trailer with automatic rear ramps.
